Joseph Martin is running
for U.S. Senate on the issues of Life, Liberty, Property, Pursuit of
Happiness, and the Personal Rights and Privacy of the People of the
United States and their Posterity. Joseph Martin is committed to
supporting and defending the Constitution of the United States of
America against all enemies, foreign and domestic, and he will bear
true faith to the same. Joseph
Martin Stands For: 1. Life begins at Conception. No
government funds for population control.
The U.S. Constitution was established to secure the Blessings of Liberty to the people of the United States and to our posterity. It is a contradiction of that founding charter to use federal funds to restrict the growth of our population or even to encourage us to limit or reduce our children, to say nothing of eliminating children in their mothers' wombs. Joseph Martin will work to stop any federal support or promotion of policies, laws, or treaties that do not secure and respect the blessings of life, liberty, and happiness of the people of the United States and our posterity. 2. Without Liberty we have Tyranny: Slavery, Feudalism, and Fascism The Bill of Rights is our Warning Indicator of Tyranny, and it has been flashing it warning more and more insistently for at least 140 years! Many recent actions by the U.S. Congress (both House and Senate), the White House, and the Military have clearly and completely violated the personal rights that were enumerated in the Bill of Rights. The Bill of Rights did not establish these rights, but rather they made it clear to the elected federal officials and especially to the people electing them that if the federal government would ever attempt to infringe upon these rights, then that government would prove itself to be tyrannical and a direct obstacle to Life, Liberty, Property, and the other unalienable rights with which we have been endowed by our Creator. Fully aware of the danger of a centralized government, even one so clearly and precisely limited by the U.S. Constitution, most of the original states would not ratify and join the proposed Union without first amending the Constitution to list explicitly those rights that could not be violated without removing any pretense of securing the Blessings of Liberty for our people and our posterity. Joseph Martin will work to reverse any and all federal policies and laws as well as all treaties that infringe upon the liberties of the people of the United States. 3. Liberty and Justice must be for all people of a community, state, or nation. Allowing special privileges and exemptions for a small elite is common for an oligarchy, monarchy, or dictatorship, but it contradicts the definition of a constitutional republic comprised of (presumably) fair and equitable laws applied to all people with care not to harm their unalienable rights. That contradiction is all the more striking when the small privileged elite includes those officials that have been elected by the people to be their "public servants," that have been appointed to secure the blessings of liberty to the people, and that have sworn an oath to support and defend the U.S. Constitution against all enemies. Far from representing the people of the United States, the majority of elected federal officials have supported and defended a social, political, economic, and ethical divide between themselves and their constituents that would be the envy of most of the despotic ruling elites of history. Joseph Martin will work to investigate the actions of elected federal officials that rise to the level of "high crimes and misdemeanors," especially where they show a contempt for the fair and equitable application of just laws, where they show favoritism, bribery, or graft, and where they act as if they were "above the laws" that they enact for the rest of us. 4. Just laws must be enforced. Unjust laws must be repealed. Laws must be clear and fair. Securing the blessings of life, liberty, property, and our other rights requires laws that establish legal definitions of criminal behavior and their corresponding remedies and penalties. Crimes involve perpetrators, victims, and damages. Laws regarding crimes should be fair and equitable, without special exceptions based on rank or office, because these lead to corruption, favoritism, bribery, and graft. In a government of, by, and for the people, it is also imperative that laws be simple, readable, understandable, bounded, prompted by legitimate needs of the people of the United States, and (these should go without saying) read by the representatives voting on them and not in violation of the U.S. Constitution! It is scandalous that so many of the laws considered and voted upon by the U.S. Congress and signed into law lack all of these qualities, with many of them being thousands of pages of opaque legalese, written by the lawyers of private (even international) corporations, granting vague, far-reaching powers and authorities to low-profile committees of unelected bureaucrats, often including totally unrelated and inappropriate "amendments," and which are only partially read (if at all) by many in Congress, let along understood. Many "laws" have also blatantly violated the U.S. Constitution! Joseph Martin will work to ensure that laws are not passed unless they are clear, readable, understandable, limited to a narrow scope, necessary for the people of the United States, not in violation of the U.S. Constitution, and read by Congress. 5. Our national boundaries must be secured and enforced. It goes without saying that a country without boundaries isn't a country at all, no more than a house without walls could hardly be a house. We have an estimated 30 million illegal aliens in this country, with almost 500 thousand coming in every year. Many of the aliens are smuggling in controlled substances; many have been committing crimes against people and property of the United States; many are infected with dangerous and contagious diseases, including tuberculosis and leprosy. The patrols assigned to secure the borders are scandalously understaffed, overworked, and under-equipped. Even worse, they are severely restricted in the performance of their duties, even to the point of being unable to defend themselves. Mexican military and other armed groups threaten and attack the border patrols to aid the crossing of the illegal aliens. Most of the southern border with Mexico is wide open, with no fences or with easily bypassed fences. Some political talk is made over the physical border security, but never in an effective way. Many politicians in Congress and the White House openly negotiate with the Mexican government for granting amnesty and other favors to the millions of aliens that have not only violated our immigration laws but have very often committed violent crimes against people of the United States, not just along the border but also in the cities in which they dwell and find work. Joseph Martin will work to establish effective physical border security, to eliminate the double standard whereby honest businesses are punished for the slightest regulatory mistakes while many hire illegal aliens with complete disregard for current employment regulations, to properly staff, support, empower, and equip the border patrol agents to do their jobs properly, and to investigate the supranational dealings between the federal government and Mexico that are driving our current border crisis. Joseph Martin will work to put diplomatic pressure on Mexico and other countries to work in favor of their people rather than for the benefit of the few running their governments. 6. For Health Freedom Protection Act -- ensuring Americans have access to uncensored information about supplements and natural remedies. Support Access to Medical Treatment Act -- to allow all Americans to use alternative and new treatments. Congress is supposed to protect the liberty and rights of the people of the United States, rather than securing the monopolistic practices of multinational corporations. The corporate lobbying of Congress being done by the large pharmaceutical, agricultural, and livestock industries is odious and shameful, and it is having a very dramatic, negative affect on the private businesses of the people of the United States as well as a very negative affect on the health and quality of life of the people and our children. Joseph Martin will work to protect the life, liberty, property, and happiness of the people of the United States against the greedy, monopolistic designs of self-serving multinational corporations. 7. Oppose forced vaccinations and mental health "screenings." The same multinational pharmaceutical corporations have lobbied and continue to lobby Congress to force as many people as possible to be subjected to forced medical screenings and to be forced to take their dangerous vaccines and medications, while at the same time they use legal and other tactics to suppress the rights of people that are seeking relief from damages that may be related to these medications. Joseph Martin will work to protect the privacy and health freedoms of the people of the United States and also to investigate the practices of these large pharmaceutical companies. Joe Martin will work to:
1. Let us keep more of our
own money.
2. End the IRS and the Federal Reserve private banking system as
quickly as possible.
3. Stop the central
bankers' "inflation tax."
4. Stop unconstitutional
spending that is taking us to bankruptcy.
5. End trade deals and
treaties that threaten U.S. independence: NAFTA, NAU, WTO, ICC,
UN, GATT
6. Stop the (inter-)
national ID card (REAL ID) and
protect our privacy
7. Secure our borders and
end illegal entry to the U.S.
8. End birthright
citizenship for babies of illegal aliens.
9. Stop financial
dependency on China for security, economic, and safety concerns.
10. Stop selling off American
real estate to foreign governments and "business groups."
11. Eliminate income taxes on all
medical expenses.12. Letting doctors have freedom
to negotiate in groups with insurance companies to bring down cost
of care.
13. Allow patients to buy
cheaper prescription drugs from other countries.
14. Require more strict safety testing of prescription drugs, with independent oversight. 15. Allow people of the United
States the freedom to use supplements and vitamins.
16. Letting patients and doctors
be in charge--not HMOs or bureaucrats.
